Jiangxi Copper (600362.SH) plans to issue more H-shares

   Jiangxi Copper Corporation (0358.HK, 600362.SH), one of China's major copper producers, plans to issue additional H-shares in Hong Kong, according to a proposal made by the company board.


   Jiangxi Copper has issued 1,387,482,000 H-shares in Hong Kong so far, and it now plans to issue additional 277,496,400 new shares at most, which will make up 20 percent of the existing H-shares in circulation. New shares to be issued will have a par value of one yuan.


   The company's 2007 annual report announced on March 26 shows that its net profits slipped 12.89 percent from 2006 to be 4132.73 million yuan, and its earnings per share was 1.4 yuan. And it will distribute 0.3 yuan cash dividend per share (tax included) to all of its shareholders.
