Chalco earnings

ALUMINUM Corp of China Ltd, the nation's biggest producer of the metal, reported a net income of 1.2 billion yuan (US$172 million) for the first quarter.


Earnings per share for the quarter ended March 31 was 0.0863 yuan, the company known as Chalco said yesterday in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, citing domestic accounting standards.
