China Coal Energy H1 coal output 49.8 mln tons, up 13.7 pct

China Coal Energy Co, the country's second-largest coal producer, said its coal output reached 49.8 mln tons in the first half of this year, up 13.7 pct over the same period last year. 


The company's coke output rose 38.1 pct year-on-year to 2.17 mln tons in the six months to June, it said in a statement.


Total coal sales were up 17 pct at 47.13 mln tons in the six months. Domestic sales rose 25.3 pct to 38.06 mln tons, while exports reached 9.04 mln tons, it said.


At 12.10 pm, China Coal shares were trading down 0.28 hkd or 2.05 pct at 13.36 in Hong Kong.
