Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco,601600.SH; 2600.HK) plans to integrate its copper businesses and have them listed as a whole, China Business News reported Tuesday, citing company president Xiao Yaqing as saying.

At present, Chalco has a few copper assets including Yunnan Copper (000878.SZ), Shanghai Copper and Peru Copper.

Chalco posted a 65.56 percent decline in net profit in the first half of 2008 due to dual decrease of aluminum sales and price.

Xiao forecast the prices of alumina and electrolytic aluminum would continue the downside in the second half.
