CNPC signs agreement to develop oilfield in Abu Dhabi

    China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC), a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp or CNPC, has inked an agreement with Abu Dhabi Onshore Oil Company, on May 17 at the capital of the United Arab Emirates(UAE), for the development of oilfields UAE Mander.

    With a construction duration spanning 27 months and a contract value of US$ 330 million, this project seeks to lift the oil output of Abu Dhabi Onshore Oil Company from 1.4 million barrels to 1.8 million barrels per day.

    It is reported that the oilfield to be exploited is 300 km away from Abu Dhabi and has a designed production capacity of 20,000 barrels per day.

    This project includes two newly-built oil gathering stations, one central oil gathering station, 40 wellhead facilities, 4 water injection group, 100 km of pipelines and 71 km of high-voltage power transmission lines.
