China's refined lead exports fell 56.1 percent on an annual basis to 235,758 tons in 2007, while refined zinc exports dipped 15.2 percent year-on-year to 275,649 tons, and refined nickel and nickel alloy exports dropped 25.2 percent year-on-year to 16,930 tons, according to figures released by the General Customs Administration yesterday.
China's refined tin and tin alloy exports fell 52 percent year-on-year in December 2007 alone, while exports for the whole of 2007 increased 9.5 percent from the previous year to 23,582 tons.
In regards to China's base metal concentrate imports, lead concentrate imports grew 6.5 percent to 1.27 million tons last year, while zinc concentrate imports lifted 159.7 percent to 2.15 million tons. Nickel concentrate imports surged 311.9 percent to 15.56 million tons and tin concentrate expanded 191.7 percent over the period to 20,697 tons.
