China to sponsor iron ore meeting conference

China Minmetals Group will sponsor the 2008 China Iron Ore Meeting here from March 31 to April 2.

Senior experts and representatives from iron ore and steel enterprises in and outside China are expected to attend the conference and deliver speeches on steel industry's uprising costs caused by iron ore price soaring.

The annual conference has attracted the interest of manufacturers and officials from the China Steel Industry Association, Tangshan Iron & Steel Group and Valin Group.
