On March 26th, Dina No.2 gas field--the discovered largest condensated gas field  in China started construction.

Dina No.2 gas field locates in Kuqa County of Aksu Prefecture and Luntai County of Bayangol Prefecture.It is another gas field in Tarim Basin with over 100 bln cubic meters reserve besides Kara No.2 gas field--the largest main gas source of West-East natural gas pipeline project. After its completion,Dina No.2 gas field will become another main gas field of West-East natural gas pipeline project, and it will enhance the stable and safe gas supply ability of Tarim Oil field for West-East natural gas pipeline project.

Tarim Oilfield is rich in oil and natural gas. It has abundant  natural gas resource, which can supply gas for West-East natural gas pipeline project for over 20 years.Since starting supply gas for West-east Piping Project in Sep.,2004,Kara No. 2 gasfield has accumulatively transmitted over 30 bln cubic meters of natural gas to more than 80 cities in 14 provinces and regions of north and east China including Beijing and Shanghai, the daily gas demand for industrial enterprises and over 200 mln people in lower reaches has been guaranteed. Meanwhile, Hotan, Kashgar, Kizilsu, Aksu and Bayangol Prefecture in South Xinjiang have also used the natural gas from Tarim Oilfield, which greatly promotes the local economic and social development.
