Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) is considering launching of gold spot option, Shen Xiangrong, chairman of SGE noted on a forum just held in Shanghai.

Shen told China Business News that SGE was studying the scheme for gold spot option. No timetable is set for the launching of the spot option by far.

Shen disclosed meanwhile that SGE was actively advancing individual business at present.

The gold exchange aims to launch a secondary trading system, which will be promoted to individual business in the future.

"We hopes to introduce futures company as our member, and many futures companies have expressed the willingness to join us, but it still needs the approval from China Securities Regulatory Commission", Shen noted.

SGE also hopes to absorb securities company as its member, Shen added.
