China' s steel export in June was estimated at 5.2 million tons, lower than the market expectation of more than 6 million tons.

Many experts earlier guessed that steel export tariff would likely be lifted if the export in June exceeded 6 million tons, given that export should not surpass 12 percent of the total output.

China's steel export climbed fast since February and reached 5.555 million tons in May due to the much higher steel price on the international market.

But analyst Liu Yuan with www.mysteel.com believed that it is still possible to raise export tariff within the year and it would not much affect China's steel export.

Statistics show that average price of HR and CR strips on the international market is 23.7 and 18.7 percent higher than that on home market respectively; and that of hot dip galvanized wire, steel plate and reinforced steel is 25.8 percent, 26.7 percent and 34.3 percent higher, respectively.
