China's Crude Steel Output Rises 9.61% Year-On-Year In H1

China produced 263.19 million tons of crude steel during the first half of this year, up 9.61% year-on-year, while crude steel output in June alone reached 46.94 million tons, up 2.03% from May, according to Mysteel statistics released July 18.
Pig iron production for the January to June period climbed 7.89% on an annual basis to 246.42 million tons, while steel product output amounted to 299.97 million tons for the period, up 12.51% year-on-year.
The following table shows crude steel and steel product output in June and the first six months of 2008.
