Fistgold Corp. received the final permit it needs to begin mining production at its Relief Canyon mine.

    The Cameron Park company obtained its reclamation permit from the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection, contingent on the company increasing its reclamation bond to $2.8 million with the Bureau of Land Management. One the Bureau adjudicates the bond, Firstgold will draw down on the second tranche of its financing for $3.89 million.

    Firstgold has scheduled contraction of the new heap leach pad to begin Monday. The leach pad is scheduled for completion in October and the company will begin stacking ore for processing, with its first gold product to be produced in November.
