Coal imported through Ceke Port in northern China's Inner Mongolia exceeded 3.5 million tonnes in 2009, sources reported.

The port imported 3.545 million tonnes raw coal, valuing US$141.07 million, both up 86% from the year before.

China boosted coal imports from landlock coal-rich Mongolia, as demand increased substantially with the domestic economy partly bolstered by the government's stimulus measures.
