Baosteel says has no further plans to cut output

Baoshan Iron and Steel Corp, China's largest listed steel producer, has no further plans to cut production following the closure of its 550,000-ton-per-annum Baotong plant, a company official said on Thursday.

Chinalco plans shutdown of biggest aluminium smelter

Aluminum Corp of China (Chinalco), the country's top producer of the metal, plans to shut down its biggest smelter - accounting for about an eighth of its total capacity - due to low prices, an industry body said.
