China's crude oil output fell 5.1 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2016 as refineries increased imports amid sluggish global oil prices, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Thursday.

Output dropped 5.6 percent in April, 7.3 percent in May, 8.9 percent in June and 8.1 percent in July, the agency said.
