Foreign miners face a change in rules

    CHINA, the world's biggest producer and consumer of coal, yesterday issued new rules to regulate foreign investments in the country's mining industry.


    The rules relate to the transfer of mining rights and the sharing of profit between Chinese and overseas investors, the Ministry of Land and Resources said on its Website. The rules also specified the requirements for foreign investments in the mining industry, it said.
