China Mining 2006 was held in Beijing

  From Nov.14 th to Nov.16, China Mining 2006 was held in Beijing . Zeng Peiyan, vice-premier of State Council ,People's Republic of China attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the cooperation should be enhanced in the mining community, the mining market should be stabilized , the new order of mining economy should be established , so as to improve mining sustainable development together.


  Sun Wensheng, the minister of Ministry of Land and Resource hosted the opening ceremony. Gary Lunn, the minister of Natural Resource Canada , Tang Maosi, Australian ambassador to China , and the president of the department of natural gas, oil gas, mining and chemical industry in World Bank were invited to give a speech on the opening ceremony. They all expressed their praise on the great achievements of China mining development and international cooperation; moreover they voiced their desirability to participate in China mining. Li Yuan, vice-minister of the Ministry of Land and Resource and the leader of China Mining Association, also gave a speech on the conference. Meng Xianlai, director-general of China Geological Survey, hosted the CEO forum on the China Mining 2006.


  The theme of this conference is thriving the mining economy, promoting harmonious development. Over 2,000 delegates from around the world attended China Mining 2006, including officers, experts, scholars, and representatives of the corporation and financial community.
