China Mining 2009 held in Tianjin
CHINA MINING Congress & Expo 2009 was held in Tianjin on October 20, 2009. The congress consists of three parts - conferences, exhibitions and featured events.
China urges government's to open up investment opportunities
Speaking at the China Mining Conference, Vice Minister Wang Min echoed Chinese criticism of Anglo-Australian mining giants BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto over a proposed joint venture and an ongoing disagreement over iron ore benchmark prices as he called on other nations to create "win-win" investment opportunities and urged global mining sector pricing reform.
Shandong Gold, Zhaojin Mining to expand annual gold production to 30tons
Shandong Gold Group Co. Ltd. and Zhaojin Mining Industry Co. Ltd., two major Chinese gold producers, both have plans to expand annual gold output to 30 tons within five years, employees from the two companies told Interfax at a conference on Oct. 20.
