China's export of scrap steel in May 2008

China exported 56,225 tons of scrap steel valued at 25.599 million US dollars in May 2008. The export in January-May reached 181,081 tons valued at 82.038 million US dollars, up 11101.2 percent and 3779.1 percent respectively year on year.
