China's iron ore imports surge in Jan.-April as price hikes loom
China's iron ore imports surged during the first four months of this year as users sought to avoid anticipated higher costs, official figures show.
China's export of coke and semicoke in April 2008
China exported 1,340,000 tons of coke and semicoke valued at 578.899 million US dollars in April 2008. The export in January-April reached 4,280,000 tons valued at 1,626.023 million US dollars, down 16.6 percent and up 97.6 percent respectively year on year.
China's export of coal in April 2008
China exported 4,390,000 tons of coal valued at 399.125 million US dollars in April 2008. The export in January-February reached 14,590,000 tons valued at 1,161.533 million US dollars, down 8.1 percent and up 24.5 percent respectively year on year.
China's import of building and mining machinery in February 2008
China imported building and mining machinery valued at 407.585 million US dollars in February 2008. The import in January-February valued at 1,079.359 million US dollars, up 38.4 percent year on year.
